Space Is Special has created a unique partnership with the U.S. Space Camp
in Huntsville, Alabama, to offer programs and opportunities to special
needs students.
Space
Is Special is in partnership with the U.S. Space Camp to offer a special
Space Academy Program in which students can participate with other
students from all over the world in exciting space challenges. Since
1989, over 2,000 special needs students have attended Space Camp through
the Space Is Special Program.
Currently,
Space Is Special works with special needs students from various schools
throughout the United States. These students attend the Space Is
Special program and a one-week session at Space Camp, as part of a
group. These groups are funded by local organizations. We are
in the process of starting a new program that would allow individual
students with special needs to attend Space Camp as part of the Space Is
Special program.
