Fundraising
Space Is Special Inc. is a 501-C3 non-profit
organization developed to allow special needs students the opportunity to
participate at Space Camp. Developing and implementing a curriculum in the
classroom to prepare these students is time consuming and costly. Most
special needs families do not have the funding necessary to assist with
this process or pay the fee's required to travel and attend Space Camp
located in Huntsville, AL.
It costs nearly $2,500.00 to prepare
and send ONE student to space camp. Our goal is to
give 25-40 special needs students across the country this great
opportunity. This requires between $75,000 to $100,000 per year just
to stay operational.
Therefore, fundraising for Space Is Special is essential
to keep this important mission alive. Without the help of people who can
afford to give, many students would never get the opportunity to thrive in
this math, science and technology driven adventure.
